Just finished doing this. Really simple and took all of 10 minutes to solve this issue! Loved the parts guy asking "Where'd you find this part number?"
My only problem is that when removing, I lost the far right cowl as it flew into the dark and likely in the neighbors yard. Can I pick one up at a parts store?

you can see the shield is torn, thats why it leaks.

and this how the just a bag has been tucked in the lip. this has worked for over 2 years. had the cowl off today to run a amp power line.

Should have just ordered the part for $8 and swapped it out when you knew you were going to take it apart.
you know what? its worked for 2 plus years, why mess with it. i got bigger fish to fry with this car then a cowl deflector.
this is one way to fix it tho. without it costing a dime.

do you realize there are 107 pages? that would take hours...
if i were you, i'd take the cowl apart and see whats going on with it. it may have a ripped diverter like i posted on this page. if so its repairable with a little creativeness.Quote:

you missed the part where he drives a 1991 GP. and taking the cowl off takes 10 minutes tops, any longer your doing it wrong.
for his year there may be no dealer part to fix it like the newer 97-03 so taking it apart then see if you can figure out why its leaking, then address it maybe his only option.
I have had it off and made sure the drain was cleared. Nothing was torn... Blower motors shot and locked up and theres currently a frozen puddle in my passanger floor board. Cars parked for the winter so its no big deal for passangers except the fact the floor may mold up and ruin it... I guess I will pull it apart and see if I cant make my own part for it using sheet metal or something if they don't have one. I wonder if just due to age gaps formed and thats whats causing the leaking... I mean the car does have 235k miles lol.

I wanted to personally thank Abrasive for the how to and part numbers. I have hopefully fixed the issue now. Testing with buckets and the water hose looked good. We'll see after a real heavy rain.
