Pairsnpaint,
Go back and look at my posts #460, 461 and 465. I had a good 1-2" of water in my passenger floor after getting a new windshield installed. Ended up being a bad install.

I've inspected the weatherstripping around the door opening and it looks fine. The water is definitly dripping from up under the dash. Are there any other openings directly to the outside other than the blower motor opening? The leak occurs when the car is parked during a rainstorm (as well as when driving) so it's not a "splash-in" situation. I'd rather not have to remove the seat and lay down in the car while it's raining to locate it.
id run a hose from the roof down the windshield, and get in and under the dash to if you can see where its coming from.
or you can flow the hose low, just on the cowl, area and see if it leaks first, then hit the windshield.
Put some sealer on edge of cowel and tape to hold in place
I can't believe no one ever try's on replicate rain in a controlled way. Common peeps.
So will this part fit on the 2004+ GP's? went through practically all the pages and couldn't find a definitive answer.
Thanks, Chris. I believe that it's a bad glass install on my car as well. Unfortuneately, it's been too long for me to take it back now. (here in So Fla, we can go months without rain, then it never ends). I may try to see if they will do anything, but I doubt it.
doing this tomorrow.... my pass floor is soaked :(
2004 gp gt works great
i see people were buying these from the OP. But i see a GM Part #, you get the same part from the GM dealerships?
I bought mine online with the same part# for 3.98 plus shipping. I just ordered a cabin filter and headlight brackets at the same time to offset shipping.
online where?
call you local chevy place and give them the part number and tell them to order it, i got mine shipped over night and the price of the part for like $2.60 something

$12 for shipping, makes it not worth it really when the dealer sells it for less then 14 bucks.
$12 for shipping is crazy. Call local Chevy dealer give then the p/n and have it ordered. It would usually run a few buck more but you avoid those shipping cost and there good at getting it quickly usually mines gets the stuff the next day.
Went at my local dealer last autumn when I noticed wet floorboard (Well the next day it was an ice rink) Went at my local stealership and got it for 7$, was really surprised at it, considering, for example, that an SE front lip is 600$ with the taxes and that a oil pan bolt is 12$!
But it fixed my problem, albeit that it costed me hundred of squids to fix all issues it caused (Blower motor froze, resistor blew.) But months later, everything still works, but I'm stuck with some ice.
Overall, best 7$ I spent on my Comp-G.
04 compg, worked for me. I had a decent amount of water from the front to the back passenger side. Now not a drop.
