if i were you, i'd take the cowl apart and see whats going on with it. it may have a ripped diverter like i posted on this page. if so its repairable with a little creativeness.

I'm all for saving a buck. But if it takes you an hour or two to figure out how to fix it, isn't your time worth more than the $8 it takes to just go order the part? You're going to have to take everything apart anyway. It's off. You put the new cowl on. You put everything back in place. DONE. No testing with a hose to see if it still leaks, then ripping it apart to see why or where.

Just my 2 cents.
