    100% will need one.

    when you take the old ones off, crack the lock nut free and leave it loose next tot he old rod end. take the outer rod off, and leave the lock bolt in place.

    now install the new rod to the lock nut, and tighten it, then go for an alignment, it will be close but not perfect.
