I lived in new england when I was a teenager. it didn't go away when it was -20, you could see the ice crystals blowing through the air, it was still present.
It's always present in your body. As temp goes down the air cannot hold as much moisture.
Next time look at the actual humidity level, it will drop as the temp drops unless it's raining. look up dew point.
colder denser air forces humidity to the ground , that where fog comes from
i just made that up...![]()
Anytime you guys need a weather lesson let me know. I'm an AMS certified meteorologist with a masters in hydrology. Otherwise keep debating.
Btw it's humid as hell in Houston. ALL YEAR LONG. I have no clue how you guys live there Jeff. I went to a meeting there like 3 years ago in November and almost left a day early because I didn't bring any shorts. Crazy hot and humid.
And south Florida isn't

Talk to the meteorologist up there. I go all over the country and Florida a lot Ft. Lauderdale to Pensacola, Miami, Tampa, Gainesville, Jacksonville and Ocala. It gets hot I'll give you that, but how many days in a row do you have it over 100 with the humidity in the 50-60% range?
But the not summer season is pretty nice here. As far as how to deal with the heat is to buy white cars, no leather seats, learn to drive with one finger until the AC kicks in and know how to fix the AC on any car you own or learn to sweat... A lot, that's pretty much how we deal with it.
