Car is a 2000 Daytona GTP picked it up about a month ago. Never had a leak it sat and id drive it leak free.

Couple weekends ago I pulled it apart to do the LIM and install my TOG headers.
Everything went well got her all buttoned up after replacing the LIM, injector O-rings, thermostat, plugs, valve cover gaskets & grommets etc. The preventative maintenance stuff.

Now there is a pretty decent pool over oil under the car every morning. Seems to be coming from the pan. Its leaking onto the transmission pan as well but I cant pin point the location.
It isn't the valve covers as they are still bone dry.

Any thought on what it could be? Going to pull the passenger wheel and the plastic shield next to the filter and investigate deeper tonight. I tried searching but came up dry kinda like I wish the oil pan was.

It is definitely the oil pan gasket. Everything is bone dry except the pan. Every single bolt is soaked.

I have read and read but don't see a step by step tutorial like there was for headers from Billboost.
Anyone have a link? Might go to a shop to get it done. I really don't want to get into this.

Where can a guy pickup the aluminum oil pan? I checked ZZP and wbody store. Might as well toss one of those in along with a new motor mount.

if you search around you'll find the part # for the pan.

the oil pan change, search my oil pan hell. if the site search fails try google.

Oil and pan are a character short of being eligible to search for through the site death button. I'll try the google method.

I've always tried to find the answer before posting for help. I see how often the same question gets asked and it can get annoying for everyone to deal with.

I know you have to drop the subframe from the motor... because it blocks the pan from coming out. aluminum pan is on bonnevilles and some other cars. So if you search for bonneville oil pan that'll be your aluminum one.

found a vid on youtube a while back. guy only lifted the engine a bit in the bay, unhooked nothing but the motor mounts and dog bones. ( he had a a/c delete pulley, so the a/c compressor needs to be taken off) used a engine hoist to lift the engine and trans up about 4 inches or so.

it didnt look as bad as lowering the sub frame then wedging the pan out. its a long drawn out vid, but it looked easy to do that way.

wow google wins, the first link on my search lol

This makes me love my bonnie. Alum oil pan, can be removed without undoing anything but the oil pan bolts. :-)

Watched that vid last night. Doesn't seem THAT bad. Going to take it in to my mechanic to verify it is indeed the pan and not the rear cover.
    Thanks for the link Scotty.

There is a thread where I was talking about aluminum pans and the mount. Someone listed the part number ... I can't search for it though.

As for putting on the pan etc.. AC does not have to come off. I bet it's easier though.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
