With all the retro-fitters/retrofit owners here, who is currently using one of the clear laminate headlight films?
I am thinking $40-$70 might be a good investment to protect my investment/work.

The big question is which one, how well do they fit and hold up. Also are they noticeable?
Might be easier to replace those instead of a faded yellowed headlight down the road.
I just started looking at the 3-M and X-pel brands. Any input would be appreciated.

I've never used them personally but when I thought about it I read that when peeled off they leave a sticky film. That's why I never used them.

    LOL you win.
it never really occurred to me.

It did make me remember the Optimum Opti-Lens solution.
Considering both solutions would be the same cost factor, the Opti-Lens comes in ahead of the film, for ease of application. Don't really know about longevity.

I've been using X-Pel on mine for a few years. Keeps the headlights from turning yellow. I found it easy to apply. I even use it on my glass fog lights. Let me know if you can see the film on the headlights.

I'm about to get a set for my Camaro as well as for my dad's Camaro.

On a 04+, the top and marker side seem to get very yellowed. This is what I initially was concerned about.
Crap it seems it would have to be opti-lens on top with the film on the face. If the top edge gets dookie looking, the whole thing looks bad.
I still will probably opt for the opti-lens and hope for the best as far as debris damage.

Obligated myself and just ordered Opti-Lens from Amazon.....total of about $65
I will let ya all know.

Nice. I was about to say you could buy the sheet and cut the piece to fit in that area.
