the channel locks would be so much easier to use, but you keep looking at wrenches and sockets lol

Just use a crescent wrench or channel locks. If you have a 1-1/16ths wrench (doubt it) then use that
Wow I got the channel locks I believe. they look like a plumbing wrench. I used mines for my plumbing. I think mines are longer.
why use channel locks? are they stronger? seems like a wrench will do the same job. just wondering
I will post a pic of my "channel locks" tommorow
cause you squeeze the handles and turn them, let off and spin it, the wrench you need to take it off and flip the wrench over and over again, and you only get like 1/4 turn form each wrench turn.
channel locks are the easiest way to remove it.......DONT MAKE ME HAVE Billboost37 COME OVER HERE AND STRAIGHTEN YOU OUT!!! LOL
use the channel locks before the dumb sensor blows out all the way and you run out of oil with out knowing it.
Also yes the filter just pops out, sometimes the little metal collar thing sticks in the transmission when it does I just reuse it if its snug when putting the new filter back in,

LOL thanks you all. Will be changing the Oil sensor tommorow ,no later then Monday
Since i changed the MAF car shifts better, on time and firmer. But when cold starting after sitting overnight the trans shifts sluggish until like 5-10 minutes then it will act normal??? Thursday im going to change my trans fluid and filter and see if that fixes it, it has been doing this for almost 7 months now but ever since I change the MAF it now have gotten 10 times better just except during those cold starts for the first 5-10 minutes
any clue? Anything else i should change while im under the car in the trans?
Add a shift kit, its only a little further and about another 45 bucks once you got the pan off.

yup shift kit time. why not your in there...
cold tranny dont act like a warm one either. they shift odd, over drive wont lock up for a while. its one of them things.
a tune is when the cars pcm is tuned you can tune the tran setting. all depends on if you want to buy a canned tune from a vendor or if you live near a local with a tuner.
I'd still do a shift kit

I've got the same thing going on with my '97 GTP, was curious as to whether or not you got the sensor/switch replaced yet. I found this part at AutoZone, is this the right one for me?

They call it a switch. Switch, sensor, which is it? lol Looks like it, but want to be sure before I drive an hour round trip to get the wrong thing.
