    Hi guys,
I am asking for your collective wisdom on how to get to the mechanical fan switch for the heater/AC.
I have seen some info on removing the plastic of the dashboard to get to the radio, etc. but it didn't seem to be directly
related to my car. ('02 GP).
Specifically, if someone can give me step by step instructions on removing whatever I
need to remove to get to my fan speed switch I would appreciate it. The reason I want to get to the fan
switch is that only speeds 1, 4, and 5 work. I know it's not the fan resistor since I already replace that and if I
wiggle the switch (on position #2, for instance), the fan will come on and go off but won't stay on. What I suspect is
that the contacts on the switch are either corroded or burnt which is causing an
intermittent connection. I am hoping if I can look at the switch itself, maybe I can
clean it up. If not, then I may have to replace it.
If I need to replace it, can anyone tell me where I can get a new one?
    Thank you all,

Hit up a JY and find one that is the same as yours. Or if you really want a NEW one, hit up a dealer.

I've never taken just a switch out of one of these before. Usually just remove the entire head.
