Okay so I'm doing a build on a SC series 3. And I already have a PLOG and 3 inch catted DP. Now zzp says that plog can only withstand 300 hp. But how come turbo guys use them? Obviously I'm missing something here. Anyways If it possible for me to keep my plog (I plan on a 300whp build) then someone please let me know.

when plogs are used for a turbo they are plumbed to the turbo, not the exhaust directly.

your only using one plog, a factory cross over and a dp. the rear manifold sucks, and headers will out flow what you have.

    Log manifolds suck in general.
It's just easy/cheap and better than stock manifolds for turbo guys.

    Turbo headers are better.
For s/c, headers are the best option.

Hmm well makes sense. Glad I found out haha well I do have PLOG ceramic coated crossover and DP. Got everything for 290 bucks so I couldn't pass it up. Everything was unused

i agree, Could have got SD headers for less (when they come back down in price)

but you got a pretty solid deal on it for that price

Doubt sd headers flow much more then plog+dp but that's just my opinion

FWIW I don't think a rear manifold flows badly at all. Take one off sometime and look at it if you aren't sure. Then grab a stock front manifold.

Restriction is in the front. And..well.. it's a W body.. so U bend and 2.25" pipe isn't fantastic.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Yeah the rear manifold is not cast like the front is and has decent primaries...crossover is decent size also....I agree with bill front mani looks pretty restrictive compared to the rest so with a plog 3in dp combo think it would work just fine

You should compare a plog with a header. I would but I don't have header's.

I dont know any of that nor do I have a plog and a extra headers lying around(headers installed last year) to measure. I got SD headers over plog and dowpipe cause it was cheaper. and they sound 10x better then a plog and downpipe setup.

wasn't specifically talking about you measuring the headers...headers sounded same as my stock manifolds with catless downpipe

For the OP I feel gains would be minimal for amount of work involved and money since SD headers aren't cheap right now...run what you have

LOL you guys are on it! Well from my experience the SD headers had there amount of issues and when I measured the primaries remember it not being as big as advertised don't get me wrong they have worked great with some modding and fussing but if the OP already has PLOG and DP why not run that as far as you can go...back in the day people never had headers and did just fine so I kinda feel the headers have become go to upgrade because of price not because of actual HP gains...still want to see some dyno charts
