Engine light came on today and I scanned it and got code p0332 knock sensor 2 low input (bank 2). What would cause this? Think it just needs a new sensor?

Or it came unplugged maybe, or the wire broke.

It means "Have fun reaching me if I need to be changed", lol... Like FFDP said, check the wiring to it. Back where it's at it's possible that the wire got broken.

If you do have to replace it be sure to torque it to the proper spec or it won't read correctly.

Yeah I just had the transmission changed and now the lights on after a days worth of driving. Maybe the transmission shop broke a wire or something

Betcha they either ripped the wire out, or the connector wiggled free. The harness for it runs right along that area of the trans.

Yeah I'm gonna check the wires before I buy a new sensor. I really don't wanna have the headache of puting a new one in.

Will it hurt anything running it like that?

id not beat on it till you check it out. its not detecting knock. and we know they knock stock.

sounds like the wire got pulled off. you'll need long needle nose pliers to get it back on, unless you have baby hands lol

Depending on what you find, I'd call the trans shop up and have them deal with it since it was not an issue before the replacement. They should have a warranty on it if it was just installed. Might save you the time and hassle of messing with it especially since it's cold as heck right now.

If you do call the shop don't be a d*ck about it, just calmly explain the issue to them and see what they will do. After being in the repair-oriented environment for many years the last thing I want to hear is someone blasting me on the phone about the work I've done and how I screwed it up. That kind of attitude generally doesn't fly far with me and puts you at the bottom of my "I give a sh*t" list real quick. Everyone screws up, it happens and life goes on ya know?

Yeah I know a bad attitude won't get me nowhere. I'll probly ask them about it cause I really don't feel like messing with it myself. I by far ain't got no baby hands either lol. I bet a shop would charge out the ass to fix it.
