dont know where to get the new core, but how is using distilled water a good thing? its still water that can kill your engine being its inside of it now...

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

Sorry, I agree its not ideal, didn't mean to make it sound like a good thing. In my mind its better than burning coolant however. Once it cranked (no easy task, I almost gave in thinking I hydrolocked it) it burned the water that had built up off I let it run till the steam stopped then drove around the block just to be sure. I don't recommended anyone have an impromptu failure and steam clean their motor like I did.

just so you know, antifreeze also raises the boiling point of water too, so add antifreeze to your core, even tho your in FL.
