I was just curious what some of y'alls opinion would be on going with a 2.8" pulley with the mods in my sig plus a phenolic intercooler. I would get a conservative tune with it. I am NOT looking to make the most power I can just so I wouldn't trash my trans too much. It is rebuilt, but not beefed up unfortunately. Honestly I am just looking to get a little more power and that awesome s/c whine!

    3.2"~?

Depends if the phenolic is full size or not too.

    Maybe a 3.0" with stock~ish timing.

if your getting a dyno tune bring a few pullies and the appropriate belts with you and see how small you can go without kr. im running a 2.8 with e85 fuel and no intercooler.

Well I know I could get a 3.2 safely with a full sized intercooler. I will probably go with a 3" if and find a way to safely plug up those ports...

After all your mods are done and you pulley down just make sure you scan for kr. FYI I ran a 3.2 with 93 reg gas and a 2.8 on e85 on the same motor. E85 requires a high flow fuel pump, 60 lb. Injectors and a tune. Probably less money than an intercooler.

Yea e85 would be nice, but just too inconvenient since it is my daily driver and there aren't many stations around here with it. I also don't have a cam like you. Just 1.9 rockers. If I had a big cam I wouldn't even be worried about running a 2.8

I'll recommend you pulley down slowly, and not take huge steps at once.

I have three stations all within close proximity of my house distributing E85...
I filled up a week ago from Speedway for $2.44/gal ! I am rather pleased with the recent price drop.
A Mobil station less than 5 miles away charges $3.39/gal, however I'm going to Speedway from now on.

Car is my daily. 80# Mototrons, stock pump w/ Racetronix rewire

Yeah e85 is the way to go with charged motors for sure however access to fuel is key. Meijer sells e85 in Michigan so it's just about everywhere in the Detroit Metro area. Speedway doesn't offer it here but $2.44 is sweet!
