I have a 2000 gtp with 90k mile. i got the car about 3 months ago and the cruise control hasn't worked at all im trying to find out the easiest way to fix it. i was reading some post and some similar problems was caused by a bad break light. im pretty sure all my lights work and the fuse is good too. not sure where the cruise control module either. should i jus replace it right off the bat or how could i find out if its something else causing it to go out. i got a service engine light that came on with the code p1887 which is the TCC (torque converter clutch could this make my cruise not work? any information would b great thanks for reading hope i get some responds.

Not sure on the TCC keeping it from working. It may.

Step one..lift the hood and see if the cable from the cruise module to the throttle body is connected. It's common for someone to break the end on the cable when doing work on the car if they are new to it.

Step two.. google that code and see if anything suggests cruise won't work.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

no neither of them do but there is a red and black wire going to the socket where the light connects at. idk if that wire connects to them or not was looking for bout 15 min couldn't see anything that it could plug into

Hmmm I'd suggest getting a picture of the connector and posting it to the electrical section as a new thread. The title on this one may keep the connector guys from looking at it.

Gotta love the easy cruise fix though.
