    Actually this is what was done on my customer's Snowmobile engined Smart Car.
    However the scoop needs to be very large, way larger than the door itself to scoop enough air without looking ugly.
    btw that Smart car runs 11s on the 1/4 mile now on street tires.

    The car is now a few tenths quicker than on this video taken by myself.

    You should still do it.

    Or a scoop like the MR2s or NSXs use would be neat if done right.
