Hello everyone,
Another day another problem. I received P0107 error code after replacing my MAF sensor. Any suggestions on what this could be? Should I replace MAP sensor also? or something with the vacuum?

Hello everyone,

MAP sensors do go bad. A little testing with a multimeter might help save a dollar. Check the tubing, as well.
Knowing that my MAF went bad replaced it with Autozone one and then I got P0171 code after a few weeks. Nothing was wrong with the car before the MAF went bad. I been told on this forum that Autozone MAF does give the P0171 code for some reason. I have not replace the Autozone MAF yet because it runs great without any issue and my mpg is around 28 to 30 mpg on the highway. This is my second MAF on the car a few years ago when I took it to repair shop and it took 4 MAF to find one that worked!
funny that you mention that I just replaced my MAF sensor and immediately after I got p0107 error code. I'm going to replace the MAP sensor as well.. hopefully that works, if not I'll be looking for vacuum leaks
Ok so this is my second post on this error code. I received this code after replacing the MAF sensor. I have sense replaced the MAP sensor also thinking that is what caused the problem, but the error code keeps coming back. P0107 system too lean (bank 1). Any ideas on what I should do next? I just need to get the car through emissions lol it runs fine.
vac leak? prob at about 20.3 short term and the egr tube is cracked runs good has about 18 to 19 in vac but still sets the code just had the same thing happen on my gtp
my long term was at 16.4
There you go. I merged these together since it's the same issue.
No need to make folks go search for the previous suggestions etc.![]()
oh ok I'll check the egr tube. hopefully that will fix my problem. I have a bunch of things I want to do to this car and I'm being held up by this.
Billboost thanks I would've done the same but I have no idea how to do it lol
thanks for the feedback everyone. I will let you know how it goes.
00grandprixgtp how did you find the crack in the egr tube? I've looked for one but I don't see any crack.
have you even put a vacuum gauge on the car, your looking for a leak when you dont know if you have a leak.........
check vacuum source to map with gauge, vacuum line could be restricted, try running a different line to map
then i would check sensor ground, 5v ref, signal circuit for open/short
edit: also a p0107 means (Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit Low Voltage)
this does not allways mean car is lean

thanks for the feedback seaschicken. I checked the sensor ground it is reading at 8v which is higher than what it should be. I'm not sure if that has something to do with it. I have to get another gauge to check if the line is restricted.
cool thanks a lot!! i really appreciate it.
thanks a lot i'm going to use that chart tomorrow if its not raining
no luck yet.. i'm giving myself 1 more week before I take it somewhere to get fixed lol. I've just run out of things to try and now I've gotten p0171 error code but it went away after a hour
