I got mine out of a 98 in a junkyard. You need the display unit, the dash piece and switch. You may want to see if your car is prewired for it. This is how I did mine. On page 4

yes you can, there is a how to posted here somewhere.

some cars come with the plug/pre wired, (im not 100% sure but the plug may be right behind the cluster) if not you need to cut and splice for the plug for the heads up display.

theres a how to, to make a harness and where to splice it and what to cut and install. im pretty sure its a Billboost37 how to.

if you need to cut and splice, do solder your splices and use shrink wrap on the connections, it will last years longer than any other method.

and i hear the heads up display can be found used at a fair price, some have picked them up for 50 or less. its all about shopping.

Correct. It will be right behind the gauge cluster and the other harness will be behind the cubby on the right of the steering wheel. This is behind the cluster. This goes to the display unit. If you have this, you are wired for it.

Then you're gonna need to grab the pigtails also. (the one behind the cluster and the one behind the right cubby that's attached to the Hud switch/controller)

it should be, being that in the write up i think he said he just matched up the wires.

and being your in a gp, the wires should be dead on. color wise. you'll learn a lot more when you are removing the one your buying, thats for sure.

the install is about the same i guess, being both are W bodys on the same frame.

cutting the dash would be the scary part to me lol
