    Wrong and wrong.

    The 180 thermostat will only keep temps cooler while driving. The fans will not come any sooner than before. Stock fan settings are 214 and 228 IIRC.

    If you had your PCM tuned/flashed then those setting could be changed, but for you everything is still the same and it will still heat soak fast in traffic because the fans have not been changed.

    But like others have said, you could try a coolant flush and bleed the air out for peace of mind.

    Why wouldnt we be talking about temps while driving. He didnt say idle temps.
