I am thinking that the pin on the hud unit broke. I can't view the hud on the screen until I put my head almost right on top of it. Is there a certain pin I need to replace? I want to make sure that I have everythign before I tear the dash apart to replace this.

    Thanks

Is it just that dim or is it not lined up to where you can see it?

It's not lined up where I can see it. It was fine one day and then I get in teh car and I can't see the screen reflecting. I thought it might of been a fuse blown but I replaced that. I still didn't see it until I put my head almost on the dash and looked up. The light was there. I couldn't move it down using the controls. I thought it might of been the controls but I'm not sure how to remove them from the center console without breaking them.

I did read some place that on some HUD there is a small peice of plastic with a spring attached to it, breaks. all ppl have done is drill a new hole in it and rehooked the spring up.

the piece doenst take to kindly to sunlight. often it gets melted and fails. I have a small handtowel that I keep in my car which I put over the hud screen if I ever park in the sun.
