I went thru the same type of deal on my '02 about a year ago. After the 2nd MAF sensor and still getting a code, I unplugged it, put some di-electric grease on the plug and put it back together and it never gave another ounce of trouble. Since you put a new connector on, I would guess a bad connection probably isnt your issue, but what I did to mine is something cheap and easy to try.
The wierd part on my car though was when I was troubleshooting it, I swapped the MAF from my parent's Bonneville; and with an OEM sensor in my car I had no codes, and the code came back with the aftermarket sensor until I greased up the connection.
Possible there is a short in your wiring somewhere or you popped the fuse.
When my pcm lost its marbles it kept throwing the same code, then it started popping the fuse, then it bricked.
Under hood it says IGN something
