    removed iac to find it was completely black, covered in carbon build up. how did that happen?

    yup. take your throttle body off and look inside that and the engine BLACK.

    oh yeah. by far the most build up i have ever seen...replaced egr and cleaned it out today. took about 3 hours of scrubbing. used this handy stuff called MEK (methanol, ethanol, kerosene) then ran seafoam through intake. noticeable performance boost
