Its a pretty cold day here, and I was just reaching under the SC snout when my hand accidently broke this skinny piece of plastic. It literally took no effort at all, i barely touched it. The car hasn't had any problems, i took it for a ride and everything. Help?

Please excuse how horrifyingly disgusting my engine bay is.

Can't see the picture at work.

I'm assuming it is the vacuum line.

You can get a full set of non-dry rotted ones from your local dealership.

It's a vacuum line. Pull out the old piece in teh rubber and stuff the remaining piece in it. That'll get you by for now.

That's the vacuum line for your fuel pressure regulator, you need to fix that soon. I think you'll be ok just normal driving, just don't go into boost.

Might take some needle-nose pliers, but pull the busted piece of plastic out of the rubber and shove the remaining hose in like Bill said.
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

That'll be a direct leak when not in boost into the LIM.
It'll jack up fuel pressure and the pcm will compensate through fuel trims
    When under boost..it won't make a difference

Sooo stick it back in ... please.

So i tried to take out rubber...it was basically like a rock. Sadly i ended up breaking the other one too. The entire line in front of my engine was dry-rotted to ****. even the T connector thing broke, same with the right side. With no lines, can i still make it to Advanced Auto to get everything i need?

GM# 24508742 - Retail $47.53 from a dealer. Search Rockauto for the hose kit with that number and see if you can get it cheaper.

It is basically just the vacuum harness that goes between the supercharger bypass valve, fuel pressure regulator, lower intake manifold, and map sensor. If its broken/brittle, it NEEDS to be replaced.

I just bought some rubber vacuum hose and a couple of t-fittings and rebuilt the vacuum system for cheap.

Some people would prefer to spend the money on the OEM equip... just giving options.

Rubber hose lasts longer and is much more forgiving than cheap plastic lines.

Sheffer is giving you guys the retail cost from his dealership in that $50 number. I've never heard of anyone paying much more than $30 for OEM lines.
