i went to work monday, parked my car, and went to maryland for a over night run, came back tonight, started my car, went back to sign out, lock up all that crap, as im walking back to my car i see fluid leaking.

i thought i left the a/c on, but no, so i get down and touch it, and it feels like oil, but real thick, so i pop the hood, and theres a strip on my hood, the coils are coated, the snout had oil on it, the top of the timing cover is coated. so i got the flash light out and down by between the balance'r and the p/s pump i see oil spraying, like its being whipped off the belt, not even sure what would cause this, only thought was the crank seal.

so i shut it off, check the oil level, its close to full so i drive home, 1 mile tops, i pop the hood and its not leaking any more, im like ?

    any ideas?

your to funny, its a real leak, im off tomorrow so i can take a better look at it, its odd that it stopped tho, like a bad seal, almost like it went dry, then leaked, and then stopped or something, idk but it needs to be addressed.

just got back from moving the car, still no leak, took it out, beat on it it a little bit, (trans seems extra firm tonight) and still no leak. i dont get it.

and to boot the car feels like its running really good. maybe its just the cai i just put on. but its smooth sounding now.

Pull the passengerside wheel off and inspect. Likely the seal in the oil pressure sensor has gone south for the winter like all these Canadian geese that keep flying over.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

my o/p sensor has been removed already, and has a brass plug in the hole to seal it off.

Grampa sold carpet at Bambergers. Somehow had a huge house.. Plus..no mob would bury bodies at the dump. Too easy to find them.

wow bambergers lol thats a old store, long gone now.

the land fill is mapped out by gps they know how deep and how far and wide of a area they filled in, the thing is, the hill settles, and their mapping system is like a 3d grid, so cube by cube they have a good idea where any given days dumping went, but it still takes months to find a body. they close off that part of the dump, dig down to the where they need to be, take that trash to another side of the dump, dump it and go threw every last piece of it. then dump that back into that days dumping area. 30 to 40 guys in white suits with sticks to poke at it all. not a good job.

and think about the bulldozer that mulls and stomps the trash down, a bodys going to be all ground up by the time they find it, yuck!

ok hows the motor mount leaking sound? sc has fluid, p/s is ok, oil is ok, trans fluid is ok.

here's 2 pics of the leaking under the car. its leaking out the 4 holes where the motor mount lives, when i reached up and put my hand on the top side of the bucket all i felt was wet oily mush, like the mount had totally broken down.

this is after i wiped the whole car frame down, the dripping started again.

could be coming from the crank seal or the oil pan gasket. The oil could acualy break down the engin mount also... if it soaks in it long enough... doesn't take a lot of oil to make a puddle...

just went out to park my car, and checked the radiator, it was a splash low, started it up and the spraying around the belts was happening again. i took some time and waited till it got some build up, then i ID'd it as coolant, its dark and im using a mag light to see, but it looks like the water pump has taken a dump. unless 98 regals have 2 plastic elbows, but i think only one up top. anything else in that area that can leak coolant? tensioner bracket? alt bracket?

the motor mounts still not off the hook, what leaked on the ground the other night was not coolant or oil. and the top of my motor mount is as soft baby crap.

and for the past few weeks i have had a pulley chirping sound if i listen real close, thats maybe the water pump talking to me.

i only use dye for leaks that are so small you cant find it at all. this one is everywhere.

my 97 gmc, had the smallest coolant leak only 5 or 6 drops, right under the crank it would hit the floor, but dry as a bone above, made no sense, so my mechanic put dye in the rad, and we followed the trail all the way to rear of the intake manifold, super hidden leak, it dropped down hit the lip on the oil pan, then ran off it in the front of the engine making it look like a water pump leak.
