I'm not buying it.
A leaking mount isn't going to splash up onto the belt and coat the motor. It may leak onto the ground. And yes it's oil filled. But not spraying the motor. Specially when you say bottom of sc, top of wp

the top of the mount is soaked, i mean like full of fluid, its yellow not motor oil. and its thick and sticky.
when i had the flashlight on the crank,(when it was leaking bad) i could see fluid being slung off the belt as it was turning, so the accessory belt was wet and getting wicked around.
and all my fluids are full....
my motor mount is shot too, every now and then i get a nice clunk when shifting from park to what ever gear, i did notice a while back when shifting from f to r the engine seems to cock sideways a bit on the motor mount side, where the driver side stays put. so the pass side of the engine slides towards the bumper and then the fire wall.
could be coming from the crank seal or the oil pan gasket. The oil could acualy break down the engin mount also... if it soaks in it long enough... doesn't take a lot of oil to make a puddle...
just read the more recent posts... just ignore mine. =)
put dye in everything but one at a time, if thats makes sense, well it does if you dont think about it,
just check it every now and again to try to find where its comeing from
just went out to park my car, and checked the radiator, it was a splash low, started it up and the spraying around the belts was happening again. i took some time and waited till it got some build up, then i ID'd it as coolant, its dark and im using a mag light to see, but it looks like the water pump has taken a dump. unless 98 regals have 2 plastic elbows, but i think only one up top. anything else in that area that can leak coolant? tensioner bracket? alt bracket?
the motor mounts still not off the hook, what leaked on the ground the other night was not coolant or oil. and the top of my motor mount is as soft baby crap.
and for the past few weeks i have had a pulley chirping sound if i listen real close, thats maybe the water pump talking to me.
yeah thats the water pump chirping
see if you put the dye in the coolent in you would have known this like....yesterday
i only use dye for leaks that are so small you cant find it at all. this one is everywhere.
my 97 gmc, had the smallest coolant leak only 5 or 6 drops, right under the crank it would hit the floor, but dry as a bone above, made no sense, so my mechanic put dye in the rad, and we followed the trail all the way to rear of the intake manifold, super hidden leak, it dropped down hit the lip on the oil pan, then ran off it in the front of the engine making it look like a water pump leak.
i dont see 4 hands working on it at once, do you lol i think ill be ok, its just a water pump. remove bolts replace part, replace bolts lol so easy a, well you know.
yeah mine been chirping for awhile now, took it out, looked at it and said "well **** this wont last very long" and put it back in and that was 4 months ago, so im waiting for it to take a dump on me
