    The advantage of optima batteries I believe, is that they are deep cycle batteriers, so they'll take longer to discharge. And they're gelcells, meaning they're spill proof.

    Deep cycle battery is good for not wearing out your battery when you drain it constantly.

    They are not gel cells. They are spiral cells though. The advantage is that no matter the acid level, the cells always remain submerged.
