I recently lost my other set of keys that had the remote to unlock and lock my doors, now when i use my key to manually open the door the car alarm goes off. I can start the car but the engine quickly cuts out so its not the immobilzer in my car its the factory car alarm. does anyone know how to disable the car alarm or fix it so it doesnt go off when i manually open the door so i can drive my car again

Do you have the factory plus another alarm? Almost sounds like you have a second one and it's hooked into the factory alarm. You'd probably need to unhook that connection to get it to work. Try pressing unlock once you have the door open and see if the issue persists when you do that. I read up on an interfacing post at one point that said you can turn on/off the factory alarm in some manner like the lock/unlock.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

There is no valet switch on the stock alarm.
