We (my wife and I) have done most of the processes of elimination and this problem has up stumped.

The problem: We were driving along and it just died. Turned the key, there was gas and spark but no "start right up" as usual. We have dropped the gas tank and checked fuel pump, checked timing and belt, checked fuses underneath the hood and inside the car, checked the brain/computer box all is fine.

We'd rather not take it and have a computer hooked up due to finances/economy.

We sure would welcome any "wisdom" conecrning this car. ( First Pontiac )

    Thanks in Advance

Does it even crank? Try unplugging the maf sensor and see if it changes anything.

Thank you for reading our post. The engine turns over but does not crank. Will have to locate the "maf sensor".

Well, we tried the "MAF Sensor" theory but unfortunately did not change anything. Although, now our battery is going dead (when it did not before). SO, that leads me to believe something is now pulling power? Lord, this is so frustrating. IF anyone has any ideas, please reply.
