hello all. im gonna be changing my tranny mount but am not sure of the best way to do it. when i did my engine mount i used a floor jack and a piece of wood to lift up on the oil pan. that worked, but now i have a slightly indented oil pan. and i know the tranny pan is much weaker so it wont be an option here. i want to lift from above with a cherry picker, but the tranny doesnt have anywhere to lift from. if i lifted just the engine im afraid the angle would be too much since i'd be lifting the left side trying to raise the right. same with lifting up on the oil pan again. it did a little damage with no weird angle, i dont wanna try to see what it would do if i attempted this again, with the weird angle

the only thing i can think of is to somehow lift the tranny from this little tab i can get my fingers under. the tab is RIGHT underneath the stock air intake tube. the tube that goes from the filter to the engine.. but that tab is questionable, im afraid it might be too weak.

anyone have any suggestions for me?

Jack up the car and remove the drivers side wheel...when I changed the trans mount I used a 2x4 that is about a foot long...just make sure it is centered on the jack and you slowly run it up to the right (drivers side) of the transmission pan...also...unbolt both of the dog bones if you didn't do that. Once the dog bones are removed and the jack is just touching the transmission...unbolt the 4 15mm nuts that hold the transmission mount on...you might have to remove the plastic wheel well flashing...I just threw mine out...it gets in the way. Then...slowly jack up the transmission until you have just enough room to remove the mount and slide the new one in...then reverse.
