Thread: chime when I hit bumps

I've got a 2000 GP SE with the 3.1. When I hit bumps sometimes the car chimes like when a door is open.

I checked the battery cable to see if it was loose, hoping for an easy fix but no luck. Any idea where to start looking for the problem?

This actually was the problem! I noticed it a few hours after I posted. On the display I'd never noticed it before but the light was flashing. Got out and opened the truck and shut it again and all is well.

The thing runs great, gets around 30 mpg highway (dividing miles/gallons not the computer number) and saves me about the same amount of cash a year on gas mileage over driving my Yukon Denali than what I paid for it so after the first year in a weird way I feel its making me money!

I fixed the intake gasket right when I bought it before that problem reared its nasty head. Knock on wood the P.O.S will run forever. 148k miles now.
