Im 100% sure that this will be deemed a dumb question but I still love my car enough to ask it anyways at the expense of my dignity.
I have an '02 GT, 3800 V6, 115k clicks, all stock. When i go over speed bumps or any kind of large bump the front suspension squeaks, LOUD.
I dont think its the shocks cause it usually squeaks as the car is coming up from the lunge that the bump caused. It doesnt clunk, and the ride is still smooth.
The suspension doesnt feel loose, it still corners good, not like new but good. So i've been reading as much as i can, and it seems to me that its likely the bushings and/or the control arm ball joint. Correct me if this is an unlikely conclusion.
Does this sound right, and if so, how do i remedy this. Do i attack it with the spray can of white lithium grease i bought?
Newbie instructions please, im not an idiot, but im sure as hell not a mechanic.
Thanks in advance for any input.
