    Hi

I just bought a 2004 Grand Prix. There is uneven wear on the front tires. I really feel the road when going higher speed feels a little more bumpy. Also when sitting in the driveway and backing up slowly I hear clicking when turning the wheels. I have went to two mechanics and they tell they arent quite sure what it is and they will have to start taking things apart to tell for sure. Please help me with this. I also put brand new cv joints in and just inspected the tie rods inner and outer and they seem to be fine. Any help will be fine. Hope to hear some great ideas.

Probably the tie rods. If it is, it's a cheap fix. Mine has been making that noise for a month now and i've been ok. I'll probably get to fixing it this weekend. But if you just bought it i would go through it and replace as much of the suspension and brakes as you can afford unless you know that it doesn't need anything besides new tires.

    Could be the intermediate shaft.

I suggest the dealership, they can diagnose the shaft as good or bad, with a drive around the parking lot.

I had the dealer replace the intermediate shaft on my 2007 GT not long ago, they charged me a 50$ deductible.

The tires wearing funny is not from the shaft, that is something else going on.
