Why couldn't you just leave the DRL's alone? Use two relays, one for each headlight. Use the positive wire going to the bulb as the reference wire for the relay. Get the power for the relay directly from the battery. Wouldn't that work?
no i was asking about the buzzing noise? i just ordered my HID's today with a relay harness and i dont want to end up with a buzzing noise like you did. im not going through and disabling my DRL's cuz its not that big of a hassle to me to just turn the switch.
that buzzing noise is caused by the DRLs.. whether you use a relay harness or not the DRLs will kill the HID ballasts.. you'll have to hold the switch every time you shift out of park.. if you forget and let them run it will shorten the life of the ballasts greatly.. and you'll waste a lot of money replacing them when they go bad
the HID i ordered have a lifetime warranty on the ballast and wiring. i switch mine off everytime i get in my car already so it habbit. so i think ill be alright. so you have to deal with a buzzing noise all the time now cuz you disabled your DRL's?

probably different for older models though
thanks i grew a brain and actually went and checked there...im new to this forum so i dont quite know about all the reference yet...but thank you i appreciate your help..![]()
So is that a special type of relay? Is there a part number or something on it? Where can I get a relay and wire tap like that? Because I also have an 08 and want to get some HIDs installed.
