Here's the deal. I have to get my car over 3000 RPM to get the A/C to kick on, but sometimes if it is cooler outside it will kick on by itself. What might be the problem? It is also good and cold after it finally comes on.

Sounds like the freon level may be a little low or a pressure switch. Best suggestion is to take it to someone with dual gauges and a vacuum in case work needs to be done to seal somethting.
Ok. It has been like this for a few months now, that was why I though it might not be a leak. I will get it checked out though.
