I'll start out with the basics.

Changed the plugs out. Car had Iridiums in it and it felt like there was a miss at idle in gear. Put some plugs in it, not sure the brand off hand.
After that, the car now misses. But it only misses when it hits boost or if it's in idle in gear only. If it's idleing en park or just basic driving, anything without a load on it, no miss.

So I checked around since no code was thrown. Changed the wires, pulled the plugs and gapped them to (O'Reillys said .60), nothing fixed it. So I braked it up the road to keep it skipping and it finally threw a code. Cylinder 6 misfire. I put a coil on it, no change. Changed the fuel filter, no change.

I looked in another thread on here before posting and saw the AL104's gapped to .50. Bout to go down to the store and get some of those and try that.

After all the other things, now when I am going up a hill, I get it wanting to hesitate and i'm getting valve rattle. Sounds like sound you used to hear on the old Shell commercials when you didn't get good gas, the old valve clatter.

Any other things I might check on this? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

are you running a stock pulley? If so get autolite 606's, not al104's...those are for people with mods and are used to combat knock retard. Your car will run like crap if you are stock with 104's in it. you should be running copper plugs....have you changed your wires or at least made sure they were snapped on all the way? If it is just one cylinder try swapping plugs with another cylinder....I would get some new plug wires if I were you and see where you stand. What mods do you have if any or are you bone stock? Take a plug out and let us know what type you are running....gapping is to be as wide as possible without it misfiring..so anywhere between 50-60 depending on what plugs you have and which mods you have.

Well, I put the 104's in it. Problem cleared.

Car is bone stock far as I know, just got it not too long ago and it's a daily so really haven't delved into further than having the coupler, all belts and idlers replaced. The pulley looks stock to me. Have to drive it to work tomorrow so I will see how it runs, if it runs like the poop i'll put the 606's in it. I gapped the 104's at .50. Gonna run some injector cleaner, cfome or however you spell it, through it as well tomorrow when I fill up.

if you get crappy gas mileage go to a hotter range plug....good luck, glad it is running well for now anyway. It is seafoam and you can use it through gas, oil, and your vacuum line.

Thanks. I'm about to head to work now, i'lll let you know when I get home. The car was already getting really poor mileage so if it doesn't change, i'll switch to the other plugs post haste.
