Your thread will probably be moved. pull the fuse, done.
lol exactly i did it the second day i got my GTP back in june lol take the fuse panel cover off in the glove box then pull the fuse that says DRL and your done you can now operate the lights manually =] problem solved
Moved to the correct area.
To turn off just the daytime drivers and not the auto on (at Dark) I pulled the power resistor plug from my 00 GT.
When you open drivers door you will see on side of dash an access door,Looks like fuse door on some older model G.M.'s. Plug is aimed straight foward and in tight quarters. Small hand or Big pain tolerance is helpfull for this task
I realize this is an old thread but I need help on this as well. It seems that everyone has their answers. Not me. I can see my access panel on my driver side where I can see the steering column but there are bunch of colored wires. (It's a mess. It keeps falling down as I hit the brakes) I could not find DRL module or am I looking at the wrong place?
There's another module just under right wheel and besides the head unit with tan wire.
Is it a black box with a plug filled with colored wires- do I have to unscrew it first? Which one to pull??
BacknBack website didn't help me because the pictures looked nothing like mine and I don't want to involve cutting wires. There are too much generalization terms such as 'plug', 'two wires','module' with no pictures or specifics. I only want the DRL disabled. Mine's a 99 gp gt.
when your check engine light goes on you can connect a code reader to that connector which in turn is connected to the car' s computer the car's computer will tell the code reader what the the problem is. also when you have your emissions done they will connect there computer to the connector to see if the car has any codes. if it does you more than likely will fail emissions.thats what the connector is for. if you open up your glove box one the right hand side there is a storage compartment, pull that out turn it around and you will see a diagram of all the fuses and where they connect to on the bottom left you will see (drl) daytime running lights yank that fuse out with the white fuse puller. if you dont have a fuse puller try ur fingers if not try some neddle nose pliers. once you have taken out the fuse your drl are disabled. before I forget make sure the car is not running when you pull out any fuse.
glove compartment? Why is that I read everywhere that it's in the driver side panel?
Now I'm confused. What is this in here?
