Wiring issue...

I'm no wiring expert but...

Lately i've noticed my harness between the fans, the wires are getting hotter than hell. Hot enough to cause the plug connector to start melting, on the side with the black wire. What would cause this to happen all of a sudden? I donno what to check or how to check this but I know I need to figure this out. I;'ve never had a wiring problem with the car until now.

And no, the wires aren't getting hot from the engine bay or the headers, its in the wiring itself.

Anyone have any input?

I don't have any specific ideas, but a wire gets hot when there is more current flowing through it then the structure of the wire can handle. So if it a wire going to a fan motor, more then likely the motor is on it's way out and it is pulling more flow than it should. Godd luck

I think its comming from the harness side though. Is there anyway I can test this? I have a multimeter, just very little know how on using it.

Could just be a bad connector design, faulty wiring, etc. Its really hard to tell, but if it was a short to ground it would have probably tripped the breaker.
