That is pretty much the way I did mine, except in addition I used the garden hose to pressure flush through the raditor. basically in the top and out the bottom on the opp. side.

Actually, I should have clarified. By "radiator top" I mean through the radiator cap AND the top radiator hose (which I did as well as through the engine since I was removing the thermostat anyway)...
So here is the crazy thing. I got done flushing everything, and it all looked clear. I let as much of it drain as I could, and then put it back together. I started putting in the full strength antifreeze in (I needed 1.54 gallons to go in), but it was pretty much full with just 1 gallon in, even after bleeding the line above the t-stat.
Maybe things will settle a little more after a drive or two and I can top it off more. If not, I'll have to drain some more out and keep adding until it is the right mix according to my little coolant level tester thingy...
