Any comments about my mileage? I put the seafoam in so we will see what the mileage is on the 2nd tank.. how do you replace the o2 sensor

Gas mileage is still around 16.. If I didn't know any better, I'd say the car maybe running a little lean? maybe burning to much fuel.. I'd like to say I can smell it coming from the exhaust.. Does that mean anything? I guess the next time I bring the car in I should have the plugs and wires changed..
^^^ is that city or highway? I get 16 mpg in suburbia (which is normal). On the expressway, I will get around 30. At least that is what I got on my original engine. Engine number 3 supposed to be going in tomorrow. (engine number 2 only lasted 30 days or about 900 miles)
i wish i got 30 on the highway again. too many hills and what not, seafoam helped with the slight power loss that was felt, and i totally need engine mounts and suspension! so lately my car has been averaging around 16.2 with about 6 miles of hiway and 2 miles light to light. if i drive the car more than say 10 miles on freeway it gets around 19. front o2 a little off?
front O2 a little off? Why do you say that? I have no problem putting a new one if it is going to help.. I rally need some recommendations of things to replace... just because... spark plugs, cables, lower thermostat... what?
well how many miles since you did any of the mentioned parts? i swapped a ton of mine. did tune up, replaced o2 sensor and my mileage went to 23 to 24 on hiway. i like to drive it rough though, but i think my cat is clogged like one guy mentioned...oh noz!
I was looking for suggestions to help with fuel economy; over the last 3 tanks my mileage took a dump, going from 8.6L/100km (about 27.3 MPG) Highway consistantly to 11.8L/100km (19.9 MPG). City mileage is absolutely horrible - 15L/100km (15.7 MPG). I could be driving a 3/4 ton truck for cheaper than that, but reading some of these posts, apparently thats pretty typical for some of you guys. Thats brutal. I've got about 180000 miles on the car so I'm gonna change the O2 sensor. Any tips on getting that sucker out? Lots of fire and brute force?
A hammer
& If your still getting bad mileage after checking all the usual stuff. Check your fuel pump, see if that's still any good & have your car professionally scanned to ensure all your sensors are working properly.
Scanned it yesterday, no DTCs. Seafoamed it a couple days ago, ran some fuel system treatment yesterday then filled up with premium. I'll see how that works out and goes from there.
If I get it "professionally scanned" are they gonna find any more codes that my OBDII tool won't read?
