I ran across some trouble after installing OEM fog lamps on my 2000 Grand Prix. The previous owner never put them back in when he had the front bumper replaced. My bro couldn't even see where the wire harness was for them. So we went to the junkyard to look for the fog lamp assemblys and clipped off the harnesses just in case we needed them. When we got back he took the headlights off my car and we found the wire harnesses were chopped off for some reason. We got them wired, put the lamps in but they didnt turn on. I checked the fuse box and the fuse was blown, put in a new one and they worked ... well for about 10-15 minutes until my car shut off on me twice on the road. When I pulled over the second time, I checked the fuse and it was blown again. Anyone have any ideas what can be causing this? Would it work if I wire the fog lamps directly to the headlights and they'd just turn on with the headlights instead?
