Ok, so heres my problem. My trunk "popper" in my glove box doesnt work and neither does the button on the fob to pop the trunk. The other nite I noticed that my reverse lights dont work either I looked up the fuse in the manual and it looks like the fuse for the trunk selenoid and reverse lights are on the same fuse. I tested the fuse and its not blown, I even put a new one in there just to make sure, but nothing.

Could there be a short somewhere causing my reverse lights and trunk selenoid not to work? I need to get the car inspected by the end of the month and would really love to have this fixed before. I dont even know if my reverse lights ever worked because my trunk never opened with the button in the glove box or the fob, I have always had to use the key. The shop that "inspected" my car also passed my illegal tail lights that got me a ticket.

So, any help would be awsome so I can get my car passed by the end of the month.

take the solenoid off and see if it works without a load on it. i did it to a friends gp and it worked off the car, then i put my popper on his car and it worked. and for the lights i would pull them out and see if they are blown, if that doesn't work i would check the reverse switch/ sensor i think its on the tranny

do the gp's have a lock in the trunk like the grand ams do?? i locked my keys in my ga when i first got it, and we had to take out the back seat (didnt fold) to get in, because the release didnt work. come to find out there is a red switch you slide side to side to lock it, so you cant open without the master key... idk if the gp's have them, never looked... but my 87 acura has one..

well all you would have to do is just install a kill switch, interrupt the power wire going to the solenoid and install a switch in the trunk, near where the wires go from the deck lid to the wiring harness...

anyway good luck with replacing/ finding the problem, i would say hit up the local junk yards.
