Well on my way to installing my down pipe I broke one of the bolts for the downpipe to manifold. Broke it off inside the manifold. Now I don't know how to continue on. I have looked around at each auto parts store and they do not carry the part I need. None of them.....so off to a dealership but its 4:30 on a saturday so good luck right.

broke it off inside the manifold??

Use some anti-sieze on the nuts/bolts and alternate tightening each bolt.

Get the bolt size and try Lowes. I have been getting stuff for my car the last few weeks and finally tried Lowes the other day and found almost everything I need. They also had all the plastic automotive pins that are used all over our cars that break easily, went there and they had drawers full of them in the hardware section.

Well the only other thing to do is drill out the bolt. It sucks and will prob screw up a bit or two. Just start smaller and work ur way up till the bolt falls out. Unless u don't have that kinda room. It might be easier to just bring it to a shop I dunno

well my next plan of action as I've tried calling dealerships and they aren't open until monday is going to be drill out both holes. Get a nut and bolt and see how that works. I have to go back out there and check it out now and see what I have for room behind it.

That's what I did for all my crossover bolts. Worked out pretty well.

Yeah I'll see what I can do. Couldn't get it out tonight. Tomorrow I'm going to get up early and drill the bolt out and see if I can keep the treads in tack. I'll see if I can find my easy outs. Then I'll try to find a bolt to just and see what I can do with that. If that doesn't work monday its going to an exhaust shop so they can deal with it.

Well looks like I'm missing work tomorrow and bringing it to a shop. I tried to heat it with the torch but the manifold didn't even get red or anything (I didn't expect it to as its designed to take the heat), the bolt turned really red. I was so close to saying **** it and just melting the bolt but instead of maybe ruining it beyond repair I decided to take it to shop and let the pros fix it. I have three places and left messages, tomorrow morning I'll get up and call them again and see what one I can get into first. yeah at idle are cars sound decent with no exhaust. any gas and it sounds like hell ha ha ha ha., never knew how big the resonator was for are cars either. I kind of want to pull it off and put in a smaller glass pack or something.

Here's what I did to get them out during my top swap. I sprayed a ton of PB blaster on it, tapped it with an extension to help it work in, and then I waited for 30 minutes. Tried wrenching on it again. Repeat as needed. I had to do it that way twice before it started to come out.

Make sure anti-seize is put on the threads when it gets put back together. It'll make next time so much easier.

I sprayed it down good yesterday and hit it with an air hammer to loosen it up. Couldn't get it off. Shop tomorrow should be able to take care of it.

usually sprayin the bolts really good with some wd40 or pb blaster and letting it soak overnight works great, then putting more on it when you start wrenching. If that doesnt work you gotta break out the oxy-acetylene torch!

ah man, I tried all that. the oxy-acetylene torch didn't heat the manifold at all really. I hit the manifold with it and instead the bolt started to turn red and heat up like mad. So I turned it off and decided to take it to a shop. First they quoted me $400 which I said no thanks I'll go somewhere else. Then after speaking with the guy its goign to be $250 out the door. Sucks but I need it done today and they said they could get it done. I was thinking more like $150 but you know my screw up sucks.
