First thread here and here's what I have.

I have a 1998 Pontiac GTP L67 engine no mods just stock, engine has 13xk miles on it same with tranny. I bought it brand new back in 98. Engine started knocking on me and tranny doesn't come out of first gear. Some luck huh.
So a few weeks ago I was thinking of just giving up on it, but then after a week I decided it would be cheaper than to get another car with monthly payments. So my budget is 3.5k

So this is what I'm considering:

L32 out of a 07 grand prix with 19k with everything on it other than the accesories. Still waiting on trigger to buy it for 2k. Rebuild the tranny from a local shop for $750 4T65e HD. Local ASE certified mechanic who will do the engine swap along with the tranny for $500. (If you are local or nearby Fredericksburg, VA I'll hook you up with his info)

    Info I have gathered:

Please correct me if I'm wrong. I want to make sure I'm not missing anything or have incorrect info.
I can use the same fuel line from my 98, alternator with 98 bracket, and same wiring harness from 98.

Here's what I have read that I will need to purchase:
    Throttle body adapter from ZZP
    fuel injector adapter from ZZP
    Valve cover breather

    Things I'm not sure about:
Sparks plugs and wires are brand new on L67, can I use these on the L32?
Do I need to replace my PCM, if not do I need to tune my current one? Clueless about tuning if I need to.

    Things I'm considering:
I'm looking at a 4T65E HD from a 07 Impala SS 17k miles, someone selling one. What all do I need to do if I replace mine with this one or another one that is not a 98.

I appreciate any suggestions or any more info that I need, I just want to be fully prepared. I have not purchased anything but looking to purchase asap, just want to make sure I'm straight with everything.
