Hey ......i own a 2002 GTP i want to add a intercooler to my car but am worried that i dont have all the supporting mods to get the most power i can.

    Mods so far:

    Downpipe

    cat back

    3.4 pulley

    8.8mm wires

    FWI

    ported gen III

    ported exhaust manifolds

    zz pcm

I just baught a stage 3 intercooler with ported llower intake....i know my car needs a tune and was wondering if any other mods need to be done to get the most out of the set up im going to run.....keep in mind head work is next year so no rockers etc....

any help would be more than beneficial

an intercooler is nearly a bolt on and run part. you should be able to lean the car out a little more with it.

if you plan on going much further with the car, invest in a wideband now.

You would only need an aftermarket MAF sensor if you would drop to a lower pully. And you would need this because you would be going over the maximum airflow range allowed by the stock one. Then you would need to switch to a LQ4 MAF setup.

You would also need a new MAF table if you would do so. So tuning is required.

No. It is just fine with my 3.1" pulley.

Good advice. And I will recomend the NGK AFX wideband.

Hell, my black car has less mods than you and runs an IC just fine...

    -Thrasher CAI w/ 9" K&N
    -DUB 3.25" Pulley
    -ILGPC Intercooler
    -Autolite 104s @ .054
    -JimmyC 3" Catless Downpipe
    -Overkill PCM

Every thing else stock! Stock rockers, cam, manifolds, LIM, catback, block, trans, S/C, TB, etc etc.

An intercooler (a full size, not an SS) is the single best mod for these cars. As far as i'm concerned, GM should of ICed these cars from the factory.

At any stage, even bone stock, an intercooler will never be a bad mod. Although you won't see much benefits unless your getting a crapload of knock or you raise the boost. You'll always benefit with an IC without a doubt.
