Hello. Wondered if anyone knows what might be happening with my 2007 Grand Prix GXP. It appears as though the only time my cooling fans are being activated is when the car overheats to the point where the a/c has been disabled warning comes on and the temp. gauge appears to not be working. The fans are screaming fast at this point. After I install a new Coolant sensor on the front passenger side of the engine and dis connect the battery to re set everything the gauge works fine for a while. Once the car is driven for a bit the temp. gauge starts rising to almost the red zone. The fans are not coming on so whatever is involved in the tripping of the fans after the car reaches a certain temp is not working. The dealership was trying to tell me the coolant sensor was on the driver's side so I'm wondering if there is another sensor or a relay that might be bad. Any help with this situation would be very much appreciated.
