oh i have done this on a 99 gtp and yeah the drivers side is a tight fit for your hands. what i did was remove the whole dash just to get an "ok" amount of room for my hands.
im a cookie again yay me

There is one on both sides. all i did was remove the glove box for the passenger side. I have not tried the drivers side yet.

i only bought one where would you start. while searching for location i saw a video where you can press both side of the temp control and you can acces the pcm to have it show speed on the hvac display .any chance that could tell me which actuator is bad

what side is blowing hot? change it on that side.

once the old one is off, work the knob by hand to make sure thats the issue.

if warm on the driver side it could be low on freon. turning the knob to hot or cold will tell you. it only moves a little bit, dont go cranking on it.

if you had the battery off or it went dead these things can freak out and need to be reset. my regal i unplug my climate control fuse for a minute then put it back in and it resets and works fine again.

stop, thats not a blend door, thats all vacuum powered, look for the line to the fire wall busted off the engine, or by the battery .
