Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
hey before you go bolting the heads back on.
put your o2 sensor in the rear header, then lay your header in the back, then put the head on the engine, then pull the header to the head studs and nut it on there. then mark the fire wall where the o2 is close to hitting. unbolt the header remove the head and header, then dent the fire wall in. you will never have this much room to work in to clearance the o2.

scrub them up clean, dont put dirty parts back on.
Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
Well i was going to put the front head on and set up the front header portion and then work on the back cause i have both dogbones out right now to get more clearance in the front. Theres 0 clearance in the back right now

Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
front header is the last part that goes on. you read the header install thread yet?
is the rear head on still? once you get the two brackets off the head you can see wtf your doing real easy.
Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
The rear head is still on

Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
get the alt and the brackets off and you can see every thing. leave the two brackets off too, and the one on the front head. cleans up the engine, you dont need em.
Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
Ok scotty! So no adjustment is needed on the rocker arms right?

Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
Adjustment on the rocker arms???? What are you talking about they don't adjust lol that's what hydraulic lifters are for...

Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
its not a solid lifter cam. line em up tq em down.
if you spin the engine so both valves are closed then tq em, you know they are all done evenly. use the crank bolt to spin the engine.

Ok

Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
So after 30 minutes i finally got the whole 4 bolts off that hold the black brackets on and you were right scotty without those stupid brackets its a lot easier.

Can someone tell me if these are tty or reusable? I ordered the reusable but on their website it says the torque specs are 25ft lbs but on the bag it give different torque specs with the extra degreees which makes me believe they messed up and sent me tty

Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
what bolts are they? brand? if they are tty i think the bolt head is marked.
the allen head rocker bolts are re usable for sure.
Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
sounds like a tty spec to me. odd for sure.
Re: Some more top swap questions! Yay!
