till they look smooth. your only doing light pressure, its not like you can grind em to nothing, unless the pitting is that deep.
even the valve seats were pitted up some.

I paid 150 bucks for a shop to do my heads I have on now to get a valve job like that, and you did it yourself. good job.

Ok so im getting my heads put back together minus the 1.9 rockers im still trying to find. I got felpro valve seals and im confused if im supposed to take the metal rings off to install them or just force it on?

yup, just push em on. if you got felpros mine came with a plastic condom to cover the locks so the seal slides past them smoothly and dont tear the seal up.
you can also use like a 10 mm deep socket to push them all the way down.

a thumb on both sides and push down. they are tight. why the socket helps, you can tap em on and down all the way.

if you got a 3/8 drive 10 mm, put the ratchet side down, so its a flat area pushing the seal down.
