I don't have a tuner but the performance shop will fine tune it regardless. I was just hoping someone on here had experience with one of these cams I've listed and hopefully knew which cam was easier to tune

There is no cam that's "hard to tune".
That is laughable.
It's no different than any cam choice.
With a cam change like this you might want to re-think your brand of oil that you use. Along with the gas.
And brake fluid. You better swap that brake fluid out now!!!!!
POWER STEERING.
God forbid you drive into a tree with the wrong fluids.
I did 2 things to tune for my cam. deleted P0300 and raised the idle a bit. nothing else was needed. I also dropped the power enrichment afr to 11.5 or something, and raised the timing.
False.
The size of the cam doesn't determine how "lopey" the idle is, necessarily. It's the duration (Valve Overlap), that causes that.
For example: The XPZ is a pretty good size cam at with a lift of about .570~ on 1.6 rockers but as you've seen in the video, it doesn't have much lope to it.
The NIC cam is one of, if not the smallest cam for a 3800 with a lift .507 on 1.6 rockers. But also is one of the best sounding cams as it has huge valve overlap 220*/230* @ .050"
While all of that is true Dan, don't forget that the angle of the lobe separation plays quite a large part in the idle quality of the cam as well.
sigh.
Y'all retarded
Lift doesn't dictate the idle quality, Bobbbbaaaaaayyy.
I didn't think we were splitting hairs with Dee but trying to simplify it. If lift changed idle then 1.9 rockers must sound awesome
Cams are meant for longer duration and opening the valves sooner - I get that. But the cams he looks at are all going to have a longer duration then stock. He wants a stock idle and sound. Not gonna happen
Because I was being too generic. That's my fault. And I do it a lot. Because no one ever listens anyways until today
I always listen. I just never post because 99% of the time it's not worth the effort.
VS sounds totally stock.
Stock idle with a stock catback.
Can't even tell a difference.
Hell, just get any cam and set the idle to 1000. You'll never know you've got a cam.
Honestly I never heard a 3800 cam on a stock cat back.
I did Google / YouTube cams and they all had an aftermarket exhaust.
