Adding Hud

I want to add a heads up display to my gt. the one I got from the junkyard came from an 04 and my car is 00. could I make it work or is it pointless.

I think you need a special windsheild not 100% sure though. I'd like to see what people say also I was wondering if it was possible to put in my 2000 gtp if its worth doing.

Seeing how the 97-03 and 04-08 are completely different body styles, it's not going to be a easy swap or it likely will not work at all.

You'll have to see if your car is even wired for HUD, see if they are in the dash.

You need one out of a 97-03. Car does not have to be prewired, you can splice all the connections. I just got done adding one to my 01. There is a great thread on here with wiring diagrams and other info.

'99 was the last year that came pre-wired.

I didn't think so but I thought it would be cool since the hud display is different in the 04 through 08. Well since I can't do that I'll have to see if I cant my digital dic (this did come out of a 98-03 gt) finished I got gray wires coming out the stock harness and brownish grey on the dic and screen won't come on. I done check forums and threads and it's suppose to have gray wires on the dic so I have no clue
