When not selected and not on recirculate, when traveling down the road there is a high pressure area at the area of the hood and windshield, which is the reason they plac the intake for the AC system there. It allows the blower to work more efficiently trapped down there in all that ducting. It's like ram air for the AC. This is the same reason cowl type hoods were popular for carbed cars and for clearance. I have noticed this in almost every car I've driven including new rental cars. This is exactly what I was saying. It is normal, even on defrost vent. In my Stealth I always kept the vent selector on defrost and even with no blower running I always had flow through the vent.
